Community Organizations

 Mabohanday was founded 43 years ago by Sierra Leoneans in the United States, united by a deep sense of our tribal heritage, families and patriotism. Representing the Mabohanday Federation and Mabohanday Texas Chapter (MTC), they are committed to addressing the needs and challenges of its members while fostering cultural preservation and sustainable community engagement and growth.   MTC champions the empowerment of its communities and the preservation of the Limba tribe’s heritage. 

 Tamaraneh is a community-oriented organization that encourages mutual aid (helping one another in times of need), shared resources (working together to achieve similar goals), and collaborative action (working toward mutual aims) to benefit all members. Tamaraneh also emphasizes the overarching goal of creating a good and successful workplace for everyone.
